When my alarm went off this morning I thought it was a cruel and sick joke. The night passed by much too fast. Plus, I woke up to an itchy throat, watery eyes, head ache and my nose feels like the size of Montana. Not happy.
It is probably because I am sleep deprived and not taking enough care of myself. Meh. That isn't fun though. I am making myself got to bed at a decent hour tonight.
Painting continued yesterday and we are hoping to be finished today. Fingers Crossed!
Last night as I was cleaning brushes and pouring paint back into buckets, I got white paint on my black pants from yesterday. Total heartache. I knew it was time to leave at that point.
On a happy note, I will most likely be traveling to Italy and Greece in the spring. It is one of the perks of the job.

Black Pants, Manfriend, Paint, and Vitamins.
You know what I love? Short work weeks. They are simple a gift from the Man up stairs. Thanks, Home Slice.
Wednesday, August 5
------------------------------------------------------------------------->
Today is a black pants kind of day. Basically, these were the first things I saw when I was already 15 minutes late. I threw on the white under shirt and a hot pink v-neck tee and the first thing that went through my mind was, "I look like a waitress." Over the head that went and I grabbed this little gem, threw on the wedges and watch, and I was out the door. This will hopefully change when I move.
Actually, let's be honest. It won't.
Last night I began painting my apartment. I am not a painter. I might have had more paint on my clothes and in my hair than on the walls. If it weren't for my mother (I am beginning the paperwork for sainthood) and a young fella by the name of Larry (Larry is a freshman at the college I work at as well as from my hometown) I would have given up. Thanks:)
Also, I should give a nod to my manfriend, Chance. Yes, she has a boyfriend. Yes, she loves him dearly. And yes, he helped her pick out paint colors without rolling his eyes or getting snippy. He is a good manfriend.

One last thing, don't leave your
gummie vitamins in the car on a hot day.
They will become goo and slime:(

Labor Day Weekend and My Gay Ex-Boyfriend
Well dahlings, a new week is upon us and I am still physical
and mentally recovering from my loooooong weekend.
I had every good intention of posting my blog on Thursday,
but in true cluster fuck fashion, that didn’t happen. Meetings, students,
registrations, obligations, e-mails, and phone calls consumed my short day in
the office. So today, much like the rest of the world on the Tuesday after
Labor Day, I am playing catch up at work and on my blog. Here is just a snippet of the weekend.

Friday, August 31
No pictures were taken because of extreme cases of confusing the Apple Genius and travel (safty first). I can tell you my outfit consisted of an over-sized T-shirt, norts and flops with a narly messy dirty bun. It is probably a good thing pictures were not taken. I got my haircut and then met up with manfriend and enjoyed dinner with some fabulous people.

MUTHA EFFIN' GAMEDAY!!!
![]() |
| Tyler, Carly, Chance(manfriend), Justin This really happened. |
Holy Mother of Stillwater. Catching up with old friends, drinking, eating, sweating, and cheering on the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
In the land "where the wind comes sweeping down the plains," there was little to no wind during the day. That means it was hot.
This was my koozie for the day----------->Notice the boby pins on the bottom. I am always prepared.
Below is our view of the game.
Sunday, August 2
Waking up from a hard day of tailgating is rough. Lunch with friends and then a trip to Oklahoma City to do a little shopping and seeing my brother and his family was my Sunday afternoon. The manfriend is always up for an adventure.
Monday, August 3
Total cluster. Between my car and buying paint, I was an emotional mess. Plus, leaving the manfriend is always torture. Made it home just to crawl into bed. Slept like a baby and I mean, waking up every two hours. Horrible.
Tuesday, August 4-------------------------------------------------->
Busy. Wearing Lilly.
Happy Note! My Lilly Pulitzer shipment should be waiting for me at home and volleyball is about to start back up. That means a lot of trash talk and sand in unwanted places.
Moving update. Paint colors were picked out by the manfriend and myself. Painting should start tomorrow and moving on Friday evening or Saturday morning. The sooner, the better.

Andre 3000 and nuetral colors
I was just compared to Andre' 3000. Compliment accepted.
Wednesday, August 30--------------->
Today I have a meeting about a possible school related trip to Europe in the Spring. Hello Passport Stamps!
I must say and I am loving my job more and more every day. This morning I had to come up with a staff volleyball team name (Spiked Punch was the end result of that brainstorming session) and I am registering for comferences and forums I will be attending in the fall. My day is just peachy as of 10:23am.
Progress was made on my apartment and the fellas working on it will begin taping it off to paint next week. The process of picking out paint colors is making me have a headache but it isn't anything I can't handle. I was told to paint with "nuetral" colors, but as you can see from my outfit today, I can no grasp the idea of a nuetral.

8pm bedtime and Old Man Salinger
Well, dahlings. It is Tuesday.....That is about as far as I have gotten today.
Lows of my life since our last little chat: kindly feeling sickly last night lead me to be in bed by 8pm, room is a disaster, Lilly has not been shipped.
Highs of my life since our last little chat: Kate Spade bag was delivered, went to bed at 8pm, found someone to clean and paint my apartment before I move in and continued to read Holy Mutha of Literary Porn.
All in all, it evened out to be a pretty good day.
Tuesday, August 28-------------------------------------->
Dress has birds on it and the necklace I bought in Italy. NBD
Allentown just came on Old Man Salinger (iPod).
Today, is looking up.

Headaches and the smell of shame
I think I might have ESP. Wanna know why? Of course you do.
I think I have ESP because last Friday I predicted a shit show and it happened.
This, my dear readers, was my weekend.
Friday afternoon I felt kind of sickly. This was not going
to happen. Twelve thousand milligrams of Vitamin C later, I was good to go.
Friday evening consisted of dinner with some sisters, a
little shopping for the outfit I would wear to Bachelorette Party on Saturday
night (I failed miserably at packing the night before. Norts, flops, a pair of
tights and whatever else was in my car made it in my luggage) and a gift for
the bachelorette, then a simple evening of movies, gossip, and mentally and physically
preparing for the night ahead.
I was hell bent on sleeping in Saturday morning but at
8:15am my eyes opened and I’m out of bed. Luckily, my friend and sister, Dannie,
was already awake and we decided to grab breakfast at a downtown diner and do a
little shopping.
I love breakfast and I especially love breakfast when I don’t
have to make it or are in a rush. The coffee was hot and the omelet was just what
I needed to prepare for my night of tomfoolery. Dannie and I both looked like we had partied
hard the night before but had actually been in bed long before last call. Norts,
flops, sweatshirts and a Polo hat was the attire of the day until I was made to
get into the shower.
After breakfast and some window shopping, Dannie starts to
get ready for her early departure for Fayetteville. I, on the other hand, jump
in my car and realize “Hell. I need gas.” I head to Love’s and maneuver my way
through the puzzle of cars to wedge my car by and open pump. When I rule the
world there will be a universal color of black and navy and all gas tanks on
vehicles will be on the same side. Problems solved. World peace.
Then I make my way to Meig’s, a local jewelry store that
began my obsession with ToyWatch. I need to get a link fixed in one of my
watches and send off another. I never have a bad experience at Meig’s. Shiny
things make me happy.

We finally leave for Fayetteville 15 minutes late and my
hair in hot rollers. The drive to Fayetteville is full of gossip and catching
up.
![]() |
| Limo and popping bottles |
We begin the night at Shogun’s for dinner and drinks. I am
reminded there is far too much hairspray in my hair to be that close to an open
flame so I choose a seat on the side. Dinner was fun and entertaining; however,
my cocktails were full of rum. I don’t do rum. It hurts my life. I already know
this isn’t going to be pretty. After dinner, another sister, April, and I head
to the liquor store for booze to pregame.

| Brooke! It is blurry because the rest of the night was... |
Back at the hotel, the party is getting underway. Everyone
has a drink in hand and Brooke (the bachelorette) is showered with gifts. At
10:40pm, we make our way down stairs to a stretch limo to make our way to Dixon
St. ![]() |
From there, the night is blurry. These are the key words of
events I can remember:
shots, tallboys, Dannie crying, too much fucking SEC, condom
store, University of Arkansas mascot, hiding from cops, sirens, karaoke,
non-Frat, Dannie running away, wedding party, guy in awesome suit, a couch
named Courtney with a James Harden beard, Jell-O shots, Army men, underwear,
alley, losing the limo, screenshot text, “guys you have 10 more minutes,” and
waking up in the middle of the night and scaring myself because I am still
wearing my glow bracelet.

| Men's underwear x2 |
The next morning was hell; headaches and the smell of shame.
Breakfast at the hotel involved trying to find phones and dignity (I didn’t
bring mine to lose).
![]() |
| They got me home:) |
We finally leave the hotel and I pop two Tylenol and down a
Diet Coke and settle in for the long ride back to Tahlequah where we begin to
recover. Lunch is eaten and naps are taken before we are all strong enough to
make our way back to our respective homes.
Top Night, Ladies. Top. Fucking. Night.

Shit Shows and Pistols
Today, just like every day this week, I threw my alarm across the room and pulled the covers over my head in disgust. Morning came too early... again.
On a happy note, it is "Fabulous Fucking Friday" and I couldn't be happier for the upcoming weekend.
After work today, I will travel to Muskogee for a short shopping adventure and then make my way to my sisters and Tahlequah for a weekend sure to be a shit show of sorts. My dear friend, sister, and fomer student emplyee, Brooke, will be getting married in September and this weekend is her bachlorette party in Fayetteville. Hello Dixon Street!
Brooke is possibly one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She is funny and awkward, making this weekend even better. Should she be worried about the gifts from all of her sisters? Probably.

Another upside to today is it is one week until Oklahoma State kicks off the 2012-2013 season. Tailgating, Football, Booze and Blackouts. Can't Wait! Ready to hear those
