"Give Me Orange Pants, Or Give Me Death."

Well, I have been very busy the past week and weekend. On Tuesday I left to go to OKC for a conference. It always seems that a 3 hour drive can turn into 8 hours when I travel. In between shopping, mani/pedi detour, and hunting for dinner and a phone charger, It was 7:30pm by the time I was locked away in my hotel room to enjoy the Presidential debate and to finish prepping for my presentation.

<--------
The conference was a complete success!
After a quick shopping stop, I ventured to my brother's house to see him, my nephew, GuyJack and my sister-in-law. Big Truck Tacos and dancing in the kitchen to "Born to Run" never gets old.
I left my family so they could get GJ ready for bed. GJ told me he didn't want me to leave and I could, "sleep in his big boy bed" with him. Broke my heart:( I reassured him I would see him soon at Buck's House. GJ calls my mother by her nickname, Buck.
After hugs and kisses, I left OKC to head to Stillwater to see my manfriend. This past weekend was homecoming at Oklahoma State and (fingers crossed) the last homecoming Chance will attend as a student. That second bacholor's is becoming a bit of a bitch.
Thursday I slept in and waited for Chance to get home so we could begin our outing in Stillwater. My bank account cries when I go to Stillwater. I, of course, had to find the perfect game day outfit:)
It was perfect Walk Around weather!
Friday was more shopping and Walk Around:)
We caught a Dustin Lynch concert and danced in the middle of the streets.
Saturday was GAME DAY!
GO POKES!

I met up with one of my Delta Zeta sisters, Taler, at halftime.
<----------
After the game, naps were taken and we refreshed our minds and bodies to make our way to Fuzzy's on The Strip. We luckily got a booth and settled in for a night of tacos, drinking and drunks.

Sunday is when I had to come back to reality. I hate leaving Chance and the long drive back to southeast Oklahoma is never a fun trip.

My aunt is putting this on one of her dog's heads.
I would hate her too.
When I returned to Red Oak I met my family at church. Little did I know there was a Youth Focus still going on. I basically showed up for the free food and shameful looks. I visited with my family for a little while before making my way to Wilburton and unpacked and crawled into bed.
It was a top weekend.

Labor Day Weekend and My Gay Ex-Boyfriend

Well dahlings, a new week is upon us and I am still physical and mentally recovering from my loooooong weekend.

I had every good intention of posting my blog on Thursday, but in true cluster fuck fashion, that didn’t happen. Meetings, students, registrations, obligations, e-mails, and phone calls consumed my short day in the office. So today, much like the rest of the world on the Tuesday after Labor Day, I am playing catch up at work and on my blog. Here is just a snippet of the weekend.
Thursday, August 30

Ryan
I had to sport my NSU green as I was going to be traveling to Tahlequah for the first home football game. My former boss and I met up to enjoy tailgating and catching up on our lives. She is possibly one of the greatest women I have ever met and she was willing to claim me as her daughter to sneak me into the alumni room. (I was then told to get out my check book and join the alumni association by the Alumni Director but that was all in good fun.It was worth it for the air conditioning.) During half-time, I met up with my dear friend and ex-boyfriend, Ryan. Now, some might think our relationship is odd to be so close for having been in a "serious" relationship for close to two years; however, there were certain things I could not offer him... like a penis. Love him dearly and I think of him as one of my true and dear friends.

 Friday, August 31
No pictures were taken because of extreme cases of confusing the Apple Genius and travel (safty first). I can tell you my outfit consisted of an over-sized T-shirt, norts and flops with a narly messy dirty bun. It is probably a good thing pictures were not taken. I got my haircut and then met up with manfriend and enjoyed dinner with some fabulous people.

Saturday, September 1
MUTHA EFFIN' GAMEDAY!!!

Tyler, Carly, Chance(manfriend), Justin
This really happened.

Holy Mother of Stillwater. Catching up with old friends, drinking, eating, sweating, and cheering on the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
In the land "where the wind comes sweeping down the plains," there was little to no wind during the day. That means it was hot.

This was my koozie for the day----------->
Notice the boby pins on the bottom. I am always prepared.

Below is our view of the game.
Sunday, August 2

Waking up from a hard day of tailgating is rough. Lunch with friends and then a trip to Oklahoma City to do a little shopping and seeing my brother and his family was my Sunday afternoon. The manfriend is always up for an adventure.

Monday, August 3

Total cluster. Between my car and buying paint, I was an emotional mess. Plus, leaving the manfriend is always torture. Made it home just to crawl into bed. Slept like a baby and I mean, waking up every two hours. Horrible.

Tuesday, August 4-------------------------------------------------->
Busy. Wearing Lilly.
Happy Note! My Lilly Pulitzer shipment should be waiting for me at home and volleyball is about to start back up. That means a lot of trash talk and sand in unwanted places.

Moving update. Paint colors were picked out by the manfriend and myself. Painting should start tomorrow and moving on Friday evening or Saturday morning. The sooner, the better.

Thursday, August 23, 2012

I am in dire need of sleep. Tonight, bed time is 9pm at the latest. Driving 35 miles through the hills of southeast Oklahoma to work every morning is not my idea of a "little" commute. It is hell. You never know is there is going to be a tractor or cattle trailer and people tend to drive at the speed of smell. I. Must. Move.
So, on that note, I will be moving soon and won't have to wake up before the sun rises in the morning and get home after it sets. Life might be a little bit better and the bags under my eyes might be a little less puffy. However, moving is a bitch, but not having to make that drive and having a space of my own is worth paying rent.

Thursday, August 23>>>>>>>>>>>>
Sleep Deprived.
But Lilly makes it all better (scarf).

Monday, August 20, 2012

There is a baby in the sink and paint on my hands.

You never really know where I am going to end up on a given weekend. One weekend I could be in Chicago, the next I could be cheering on the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater or taking in a concert at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa.
You just never know where I might end up.
This weekend I spent the weekend at my aunt and uncle's lake house on Tenkiller Lake in northeast Oklahoma near Tahlequah. It is a little gem. Many members of my family enjoyed the weekend. The cooler weather and much needed rain didn't damper our moods.

Here are a few pictures of the weekend.

<<<<<<<< What is a weekend without a drive with the windows down
and craft paint on your hands?
>>>>>>>>>>
Driving with the windows down on a cool evening, Red Dirt on the radio and hair flying all around is possibly one of my favorite things in this world. Driving down Indian Road this weekend was just what I needed to escape from the clutter of the week.

<<<<<<< This is Miss Teagan Tate Jaymes Adams. I just so happened to snap this while she was given a bath by her grandmother "Silly." (my Aunt Shelley)
Teagan is one of the sweetest babies I have ever been around. She is a snuggle bug and makes my heart melt. She will be turning one-year-old in September.
I still wonder how that is even possible?
Her older sister, Lakyn, is the biggest priss on the planet and I LOVE IT! Their mother, Jade, swears she is having my children. I would happily take either on or both of them:)

<<<<< This is my uniform on the weekends. Nike shorts, pocket tee, Polo hat and sandles. I try to not have to wear make-up on the weekends. Give the ol'face a breather. This is at a resort not far from the lake house called Fin & Feather. The resturant there is called Soda Steve's.

Monday, August 20>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Back in the office. Wonderful weekend and the few coming weekends will be just as fabulous. Cooler weather is in the air, pistols will soon be firing in Stillwater and weekends at the lake house will consist of camp fires, family and smores.
